The Police Department of the Village of Washingtonville and all Police Officers employed such shall provide the citizens, businesses within the village, and all visitors to the village with professional police protection and service. It is the charge of each member of the Police Department to treat all persons in a fair and consistent manner, and officers will not discriminate based on race, sex, religion, political beliefs, physical disabilities, or sexual preference. Officers’ actions shall be governed by written rules of conduct which shall be approved by Village Council and enforced by the Chief of Police and Mayor of Washingtonville.
    The management team of the Washingtonville Police Department, with the cooperation of community leaders and local government are dedicated to providing the community of Washingtonville with the finest police force available. The Washingtonville Police Department’s management will be fiscally sound, efficient, and will hold its Patrol Officers to a high standard.
